It was a pleasure to see the clean fast system in action.

The system obviously has great potential for cost and time saving, but I’m specifically interested in Health and safety and found the following:

1. The system removes the interface between excavators, spoil wagons and people.

2. Traffic in and out of the site is greatly reduced and easier to control.  

3. As the system removes the need for concrete/tarmac breakers, therefore noise pollution and vibration risk (Hand Arm Vibration/Whole Body Vibration) are reduced massively.

4. Due to the narrow width of excavation, there is less risk of serious injury in the event of a road traffic incident as it would be near impossible for a vehicle to fall into the narrow trench.

5. As access into the trench is impossible, unauthorised entry and subsequent crushing due to side collapse is highly unlikely.
