What do you think about innovative solutions compared to traditional solutions for constructing telecommunication networks and in particular the FTTH?
The FTTH, which means the connection of all French people to broadband, is something that we have to do quickly now because everybody requires broadband. Quickly and not expensively. We therefore have to get round the regulatory constraints which are imposed, which require trenches 1 m deep under roads and therefore we should be able to use solutions such as Cleanfast (40cm under roads) and Sidecut (10 cm under footpaths) which are, in my opinion, innovative solutions which enable you to go faster, to make cleaner worksites, in complete safety and not expensively. We really cannot use any other process if we want to install FTTH quickly.
These innovative processes seem indispensible to me today if we want to connect all the French population to broadband quickly.
Broadband is is an advantage to local public services, and it is a supplementary attraction to get high performance companies to come to their regions.
