Working with a chain for Marais using the SMC155C

Working with a chain for Marais using the SMC155C

Having successfully launched with its model SMC 155 RTC (see BTP magazine No. 244) in 2010, Marais extended his range with a chain solution.

Installed on the same track suport that the wheel suport (up to 600 mm depth, width of 100 mm to 150 mm), the SMC 155 C is equipped with either :

- a narrow chain for cutting widths from 130 to 180 mm and a depth of 500 mm to 1100 mm, or

- a wide chain for cutting widths of 200 mm to 350 mm with a depth of up to 1350 mm.

The chain, which receives thr blocks of slicing has been particularly studied in order to place a power of 100 kW without distortion or stretching.
All material is evacuated and loaded via conveyor belts or left in cord along the search.

The cutting tool is mounted on a pivot (slicing continuous in curves) and receives a correction of tilt (vertical slicing).

All that tool is mounted on a horizontal cross slide that allows an offset of 300 mm (left) and 600 mm (right) side of the axis of the machine.

Like the wheel design, the Deutz engin develops an output of 190 kW.

All the unit is fully remote controlled from the ground and meets the standards for ROPS, FOPS and European Directives including the "Vibration Directive" 2002/44/EC.

The reel careir in front (6 tons capacity meter, 3 meter diameter), the heel and the posers are idealy adapted for mechanized laying of electrical cable or water pipe under roadway, or along the road.
