POSEIDON is the ideal tool for installing networks in an underwater environment.

The POSEIDON process is based on a self-propelled barge on the surface of the water picking up the material necessary for opening the trench in the bottom of the river by a caterpillar track carrier equipped with a vibrating blade or a trenching wheel. It provides:

• A cutting depth up to 1 110 mm for the trenching wheel and 1 300 mm for the vibrating blade,
• A width of cut up to 250 mm for the trenching wheel and 90 mm for the vibrating blade,
• The simultaneous mechanised installation of cables or channels stored on the barge which is moved on the surface of the water.

Among the advantages of this tool are the following: An intelligent use which causes very little disturbance to traffic, respect for the environment with the natural reconstruction of the bed of the river, finally the placing of the networks does not have any bad influence on the ecosystem.
